○ Hosted the ‘MOU Signing Ceremony for the Reinforcement of Corporate Competitiveness and Development of Export Companies in Pyeongtaek’ on the 20th (TUES)

○ Participated by the Mayor of Pyeongtaek, the CEO of GSBC, and 10 other representatives

○ Implementation of cooperative projects beginning with the operation of the trade promotion delegation in January of next year



Pyeongtaek and GSBC have joined hands to reinforce the competitiveness of SMEs in Pyeongtaek for entry into overseas markets.

 

GSBC announced that the ‘MOU Signing Ceremony for the Reinforcement of Corporate Competitiveness and Development of Export Companies in Pyeongtaek’ was held at 3:30 p.m. on the 20th of this month (TUES) at the External Affairs Office of the Pyeongtaek City Hall.

 

The ceremony was participated by Mayor Gong, Jae-Kwang and Mr. Yoon, Jong-Il along with 10 other representatives.

 

The purpose of this MOU is to exchange and actively utilize the infrastructures and know-how to vitalize the competitiveness of SMEs located in Pyeongtaek.

 

In detail, both institutions will pursue the following to support businesses : ▲establish infrastructures, ▲pursue various cooperative projects, ▲mitigate difficulties and vitalize exchange between companies, ▲pursue projects to uncover and develop exporters, and ▲cooperate in the operation of a overseas trade promotion delegation..

 

Especially, Pyeongtaek and GSBC will commence its cooperative project by selecting 10 companies based in Pyeongtaek as part of the trade promotion delegation which will conduct operations overseas in countries such as Thailand and Indonesia starting in January of next year.

 

Mayor Gong stated, “I hope that his MOU will be an opportunity for many SMEs to be able to leap forward in connection with the various infrastructure and support projects which will be carried out in by Pyeongtaek and GSBC. In order to vitalize the local economy, we also plan to expand support and provide solutions to problems faced by companies as the importance and roles of SMEs are becoming increasingly more important.”

Mr. Yoon promised to “utilize all the know-hows of the center in order to develop the SMEs in the Pyeongtaek region which are faced with difficulties due to the prolonged economic recession.” He added, “I will do my best to strengthen the autonomy of SMEs through the provision of real support made available through a strong partnership with Pyeongtaek City.
