This campaign will be launched to enhance pride and solidarity among Gyeonggi residents by highlighting hidden points of attraction across the 31 cities and counties of the province.

On August 31, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will host the ‘Heungshinso 31’ campaign from September 1 to October 31. ‘Heungshinso 31’ refers to hidden charms found among the 31 cities and counties of Gyeonggi Province.

Contestants can submit suggestions for great eateries, destinations, fashion hot spots, photo zones, specialties, and people in Gyeonggi Province through texts, photos, and videos via the ‘Heungshinso 31’ campaign website (www.gg31.kr), which will help spread the word about the hidden charms of Gyeonggi Province’s 31 cities and counties nationwide.

Gyeonggi Province will create a ‘Gyeonggi Province appeal attraction map’ both on and offline to help people discover all of the recommended contents at a glance. This will enable the provincial government utilizations of the information as promotional material that will be shared with all 31 cities and counties of the province. Once the campaign is complete, Gyeonggi Province will host an event to share this information among relevant officials at 31 cities and counties and to discuss the diverse attractions of the province.

To encourage more people to participate in the campaign, there will be a variety of prizes. Those contestants whose assigned entry numbers include the number 31 – for example, the 31st entry, 131st entry, 231st entry, and so on – will receive a gift (confectionary gift vouchers), and people will have the chance to win beverage vouchers simply by voting for their favorite suggestion.

In addition, Gyeonggi Province will organize four surprise ‘Heungshinso 31’ events with an individual dressed as a private detective who can be found at Suwon Station on September 9, at Bucheon Station on September 10, in Namyangju on October 7, and in Uijeongbu on October 8. People can win beverage vouchers if they take a photo with this ‘private detective’ and upload it to their SNS accounts.

A provincial government official said, “We encourage Gyeonggi residents and people across the country to take part in the ‘Heungshinso 31’ campaign to spread the word about Gyeonggi Province’s attractions”.
